Public Input Meetings for the 2035 Northwest Arkansas Long Range Transportation Plan UpdateThe Northwest Arkansas Regional Planning Commission, the transportation planning organization in Northwest Arkansas, is currently updating the Long Range Transportation Plan for 2035. Please drop in and share your concerns and opinions on the future of transportation in NW Arkansas.We will be joined by representatives of the CONNETICS Tranportation Group who are conducting a Transit Development Plan for NW Arkansas and are looking forward to your input for this study.
When:
September 7, 2010 from 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM at the Fayetteville Public Library - Walker Community Room AND
September 9, 2010 from 11:00 AM - 7:00 PM at the Center for Non-Profit at Mercy Hospital, Main Lobby Conference Room, in Rogers
Public input for the Transit Development Plan will be taken on the same days from 2:00 PM until 6 PM.
2035 Long Range Transportation Plan Update
The Northwest Arkansas Regional Planning Commission, the transportation planning organization in Northwest Arkansas, is currently updating the Long Range Transportation Plan. The draft plan under development will guide transportation improvements through the year 2035.

The Northwest Arkansas Regional Planning Commission is a planning organization that serves local units of government in Benton, Madison and Washington Counties, Arkansas.
Since its formation in 1966, the Northwest Arkansas Regional Planning Commission has been working toward making Northwest Arkansas a more desirable place to live and work. Act 26 of 1955 (which provided for the formation of NWARPC) states as its purpose, "... to make those studies and plans for the metropolitan area or region that will guide the unified development of the area, that will eliminate planning duplication and promote economy and efficiency in the coordinated development of the area and the general welfare and prosperity of its people."
