Public Participation Plan
DRAFT 2025 PUBLIC PARTICIPATION PLAN (PPP): The Northwest Arkansas Regional Planning Commission (NWARPC) is inviting public comment on the NWARPC Draft 2025 Public Participation Plan (PPP). The Draft PPP can be reviewed digitally here, or in hard copy at the NWARPC Office, 1311 Clayton Street, Springdale, AR 72762.
PUBLIC COMMENT PERIOD: The Draft PPP public comment period will run from Friday, December 20, 2024 through Friday, February 7, 2025. Members of the public may submit comments via the comment tab on the NWARPC website at www.nwarpc.org/contact, or directly to comments@nwarpc.org.
APPROVAL PROCESS: The RPC/Policy Committee will consider comments and the draft 2025 PPP for approval on February 26, 2025 at 1:30pm. Meeting information can be found at www.nwarpc.org/events/.
The NWARPC Public Participation Plan (PPP) has been developed to ensure that the transportation planning process conducted by the NWARPC complies with federal requirements for public involvement and participation. This document outlines procedures that are designed to promote and encourage public participation and involvement in the transportation planning process. These procedures will provide opportunities for citizens, employers, and transportation providers to contribute ideas and opinions early and at every stage of the planning process. Efforts will be made to assure participation by traditionally under-served individuals, including elderly, low income and minority individuals, persons with disabilities, and persons with limited English proficiency. The NWARPC will, to the extent reasonable and practical, ensure that the Public Participation Plan will address the requirements for public involvement.
