Northwest Arkansas Open Space Plan

The purpose of the Northwest Arkansas Open Space Plan was to develop a coordinated, voluntary program to protect and promote the region’s most valued natural landscapes and open spaces. The goal of the Plan is to preserve these assets, thereby maintaining a high quality of life as the region continues to grow and prosper.

The Open Space Plan was developed in 2016 and was utilized as the basis of the environmental component of the NWARPC Metropolitan Transportation Plan.
